Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

The Guidelines for Manuscript

  1. The article to be submitted in Thematic: Journal of Islamic Primary Education is the result of research in the field of Islamic primary education
  2. Title, The title of the article is about 5-15 words, the title provides an informative research description, complete and contains variables or keywords that describe the problem under study,book antiqua 12, space 1, space after 6 pt. 
  3. The author's name, complete without a written title and typed below the article title. If the author is more than one person, then add the next line. (Book Antiqua 11, bold, spacing 1.5
  4. Initially institutions / agencies, written on behalf of the institution where they work (University). Example: Nahdlatul Ulama University Purwokerto
  5. Email address , write an email address that is still active and written under the origin of the institution / agency.
  6. Abstract, written in two languages, namely Indonesian and English. The abstract contains the points of research, including a brief description of the problem (optional) and research objectives, methods used, and research results. Abstracts are typed in single space (1 space) with a number of 150-200 words.
  7. Keywords, Keywords arranged alphabetically from A to Z between 3-5 words (book antiqua 11)
  8. Systematics of article writing, including: introduction; research methods; results and discussion; conclusions; bibliography.
  9. The introduction  contains: the background or urgency of the study, the facts of the previous research, the analysis of the gap between theory and fact, the status of the study, the novelty of the research, and the objectives of the study.
  10. Research  methods contain: approaches, methods, techniques, and procedures along with instruments used in collection, processing, interpretation / analysis, and accompanied by an explanation of the reasons
  11. The results and discussions presented are important data obtained from the results of data collection in the field (test results, questionnaires, interviews, documents, etc.). Research results can be supplemented with tables, figures, or graphs to clarify the results of the study. Avoid presenting similar data in separate tables. All tables, figures, and graphs should be centered and numbered sequentially. For qualitative research, the results section contains detailed sections in the form of sub-topics that are directly related to the research focus and categories. The discussion in this article aims to: (1) answer problem formulations and research questions; (2) demonstrate how the findings were obtained; (3) interpret the findings; (4) linking research findings to established knowledge structures; and (5) come up with new theories or modify existing ones. This section of the discussion should contain the benefits of research results, not repetition. The analysis should answer the stated gaps.
  12. Conclusions are not summary descriptions, but are sourced and extracted from concrete and important findings. Keismpulan is written in a brief, narrative, and conceptual manner that describes the research findings and their impact. Avoid using numbering and symbols (bullets and numbering). Things to consider in making conclusions: do not draw conclusions that were not discussed in the previous section (results and discussion), and do not conclude data from incomplete or no data at all. Conclusions provide new views or ideas arising from discussions and comments for further research
  13. Bibliography, references sourced from national or international articles and books. The reference content is relevant to the topic of the article and current (published in the last ten years, except for the Bibliography which contains classical concepts and theories from the scientific field), and is an important reference. Writing a bibliography is arranged alphabetically with applicable conditions.

The Guidelines for Citations and References

  1. All data or citations presented in articles taken from other authors' articles must attach reference sources.
  2. Citation writing and bibliography should use reference management applications such as Mendeley, End Note, Zotero or applications in Ms Word.
  3. Writing citations and bibliography using the APA 7th Style (American Psychological Association) format using innote writing techniques.
  4. All references used must be taken from primary sources (national and international reputable scientific journals indexed by SCOPUS, Web of Science, DOAJ, and SINTA)
  5. Minimum number of references is 10. Avoid using Wikipedia, personal blogs, and non-scientific websites are not allowed to be used as references.
  6. References used must have been published within the last 10 years.
