Analisa Teknis Tea Picker Tipe Keranjang pada Perkebunan Teh Lahan Miring
Abstract
The tea picking machine (Tea Picker) has a model, namely the collection bag type. This research was conducted to analyze the work capacity of pickers, shoots meet the requirements and shoots do not meet the requirements. The research objective was to design a tea picking machine that was suitable for the topography or slope of the land in tea plantations in Indonesia, especially in the people's tea plantations in Tasikmalaya. The slope of the existing plantation land starts from flat, bumpy and hilly. This makes it difficult to use the existing picking machines, as well as considering the plucking workforce of which 92% are women. Tea picker is expected to be able to increase the working capacity of manual pickers (40-60 kg/HKO on average) to 100-150 kg/HKO or close to the labor of conventional tea picking machines. In addition, it can also improve the quality of tea shoots to a minimum of 75% Fulfills the requirements such as manual picking, considering that picking by picking machines only reaches 50%. The achievement will be adjusted to different slopes, namely flat slopes (5% -15%), wavy slopes (20% -30%) and hilly slopes (40% -50%). It is hoped that this picking machine will be able to increase the work capacity of pickers in hilly land that cannot be reached by tea picking machines.
